After the segment the BBQ package was donated to the Aussie Helpers (www.aussiehelpers.org.au) foundation for Christmas.

About Aussie Helpers:
Aussie Helpers Ltd is a non profit registered charity that has been operating since 21 May 2002.
The charity is operated by some forty volunteers working in Queensland, NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. These volunteers fully embody the spirit of volunteering, freely giving their own time and expertise (in many cases at their own expense), they have created a charitable association that is strongly supported by local communities including citizens and small business's, many of whom have donated and supplied goods and services to enable Aussie Helpers to achieve its goal of "Helping to fight poverty in the bush". Aussie Helpers impact on the people and places that we connect with and is fully verified by the hundreds of letters we receive each year from farming families assisted by Aussie Helpers.

The BBQ package will be used at "Glendale" the Aussie Helpers Training Farm at Mathura NSW which is near Deniliquin. The training farm is to get disadvantaged young men and women back to work in the rural sector.

Brian said “Aussie Helpers accommodates four young people at a time, mentoring them and showing them where food actually comes from and after four weeks training on farm work they are placed on "host farms" on the work for the dole program, the winners in this program will be everyone, as the host farmer gets some labor on his farm, the young person gets some rural training and a hopefully a paid job and the rural sector becomes more productive and money goes into country towns”.
