Firehawks UltraHeat Ceramic ensures the Firehawk Kamado range is not only capable of withstanding extreme temperatures, but more importantly ensures heat radiates very slowly, creating an incredibly stable temperature throughout the entire Firehawk cooking chamber, highly important for low’n’slow cooks.
The Firehawk Kamados Heat Lock Mesh Seal reduces moisture loss during a cook to ensure food is exposed to less dry, and moisture-absorbent air. This is a key and very important aspect of low and slow cooking. The Heat Lock Mesh Seal is built from a fibreglass mesh, making it durable and easy to clean.
Typically, an anti-rust treatment is applied to iron components, with a plastic coating used for protection. The 27” Firehawk Kamado uses a durable Dual Anti-Rust Protection whereby the frame is first galvanised, and then given an anti-rust treatment alongside a plastic coating. This dual process ensures the best possible protection against rust; particularly from any rust problems caused from inadvertent bumping, or damage which removes the plastic coating, exposing the raw iron component.
With the Firehawk Kamados super strong hinge system, the Single Touch Magnetic Latch ensures that you can open and close the lid with complete ease. The unique Single Touch Magnetic Latch allows you to re-open the lid, much-like a fridge door in one single action, with one hand.
