Radiant Wood Heaters

Radiant heaters heat like the sun. If you can see the heater you can feel the warmth from it, just like standing in the sun. Radiant wood heater are suited for large open areas as you can feel the radiant heat. You don’t have to wait for the warm air to be circulated. The less obstructions the better the radiant heater works (i.e. doors, hallways etc.). Think of warming yourself around a campfire. Due to the direct flow of heat, radiant heaters are IDEAL for open space areas like a cabin, studio room, loft or places with high ceilings.

Convection Wood Heaters

Convection heaters are similar to the heat you find in your oven or hooded BBQ, except instead of circulating around your food, the heat can circulate through your entire home. Convection heaters come as freestanding or Inbuilt/insert heaters. They are designed with a cavity between the firebox and the outer skin. This means that the air in the cavity heats up, expands and rises, drawing more air in from below and forcing the hot air out through the top of the heater.
